In the frame of the e-Waste Programme, GIZ is supporting the Ministry of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) of the Republic of Ghana in introducing sustainable e-waste management in Ghana. It mains goals are to:
Improve the capacities of state actors for the management of WEEE
Strengthen private sector actors for the recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment along the recycling chain entrepreneurship mindset of learners.
Initiate the transition process of the scrap yard in Old Fadama to a sustainable recycling park in a conflict-sensitive manner with the participation of the women working at the scrap yard.

A well-adapted entrepreneurial training can support the informal businesses and services to grow, provide the community with more income and contribute to the transition of the scrap yard into a sustainable recycling park.
