Project Description:
The project aims to develop a comprehensive training module which includes all possible tannery solid waste management and its conversion into valuable product/s along with the Teaching, Training and Learning Material (TTLM).

The project seeks to identify overseas-based international research as well as research and analyse all the necessary documents/training modules and training materials to fully understand the ground situation and existing training materials and contents of the same available for training of tannery operators and leather manufacturing experts in the areas of solid waste management and utilisation (including the existing curriculum and/or syllabus for Leather Manufacturing Technology (LMT) undergraduate (B.Sc.) program and other relevant training manuals and materials being used by such as former LIDI (Leather Industry Development Institute) now called Leather and Leather Products Industry Research Development Centre(LLPIRDC).

Based on this assessment will be developed a comprehensive tannery solid waste management and its conversion into valuable product/s and training module along with the Teaching, Training and Learning Material (TTLM); (with a specific focus on solid tannery management and its conversion into valuable products). Further on, the draft module with key experts, including governmental support Institutions and the project team for review, will be provided. Finally, a validation workshop for the developed manual and the produced TTLMs should be organised and conducted.

Services provided:
CI will review the international context, supervise in content development of the training manual and design the manual layout and graphic design of the manual content. Further on, CI will organise and conduct workshops and training sessions.
