Project Description:

The Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED) has been established in 2007 as an independent body of Abu Dhabi´s Government to implement the long-term vision of their President. It aims to contribute towards enhancing the country´s competitive economy and to transform the Emirate of Abu Dhabi into a major investment and economic hub in the region. The vision is to lead entrepreneurship development and to facilitate the growth of competitive SMEs. The Fund targets capable, young graduates as well as young businessmen and businesswomen with creative business ideas, coupled with strong administrative and managerial skills. Therefore, the fund´s mission is to fuel an entrepreneurial culture, drive innovation and sustainable growth of Emirati SMEs that contribute to the social and economic development of the UAE by providing access to services and financing and by facilitating an SME-friendly environment. The Fund provides financing solutions for viable projects and integrated a system of support services for entrepreneurs, including training, development, data and consulting services as well as a number of marketing-focused initiatives.

 
Services provided:

To support the program´s objective, CI provides the following services: Integration of CEFE into Khalifa Fund Business Centre – Emirates through development and implementation of 3 training modules including a Training of Trainer (ToT) and coaching sessions for the trainer candidates. This includes the elaboration of 3 training modules: Idea Sourcing, Business Plan Preparation, Basic Finance including ToT modules/ provision of training manuals and materials / conduction of ToT and coaching / final report and recommendations for further action.
