Project Description:

The waste management system in Dohuk is not sufficient. As a boardering city to the IS controlled region, it has a huge refugee and Internally Displaced People (IDP) community living around the city in several refugee camps. The inconsistency of recycling methods and waste management motivated the State Government of Baden- Württemberg and GIZ to work on a project proposal to improve the given situation. With a local expert CI analysed the potential to set it up.

Services provided:
Within this context CEFE International has been involved in the study on side on the improvement of waste management system and income generation for refugees, IDPs and local host communities. This included the selection of potential interview partners and a detailed result oriented report.
