Lisa Wernz

Hello, Hola, Oi, and Hallo, I’m Lisa, a multipassionate Change Maker. I joined CEFE International in 2021, initially as an intern and later taking on roles in network coordination and project management.

My experiences and studies in project engineering have refined my perspectives in efficiency, pragmatism, and structure. Extended stays abroad, especially in South America, sparked my curiosity in inter- and transcultural topics, ultimately leading me to explore communication and understanding on a broader scale.

I began connecting these two facets and discovered my passion in the roles of process facilitator, trainer, as well as project and team leader.

Working in the development cooperation sector means, to me, opening up a wonderful transcultural field of learning and growth, challenging assumptions, and fostering lively exchanges. These experiences strengthen my empathy and cultivate humility.

My favourite quote:

"I don’t like that man. I must get to know him better." - Abraham Lincoln

Why am I at CEFE International?

In competence development programs, I directly experience the profound impact a single drop of water can make, drawing large circles. This brings me joy.

What am I doing when I am not at work?

Cooking and celebrating food whenever it’s possible, enjoying coffee and hitchhiking to new places.

If I could, I would...

Stop wars.
