KMU in Deutschland - ein kritischer Blick

Die Volkswirtschaft der Bundesrepublik Deutschland wird entscheidend durch kleine und mittlere Wirtschaftseinheiten geprägt.1 In kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) arbeiten mittlerweile rund zwei Drittel aller sozialversicherungspflichtig Beschäftigten. Ihr Beitrag zur gesamtwirtschaft-lichen Leistung hat an Bedeutung gewonnen - bei den Bruttoinvestitionen und bei der Wertschöpfung bewegt sich ihr Anteil bei über 40 Prozent. Auch bei der Schaffung und Bereitstel-lung von Arbeits- bzw. Ausbildungsplätzen sind KMU führend.

Castries August 6th 2010–The OECS Export Development Unit, OECS EDU says at least One Hundred and Seventy-five companies across the nine members grouping are to benefit from an ongoing series of National Training Programmes. World Bank Launches Trade Strategy Consultations

The World Bank Group has launched consultations to gather input for a trade strategy, which is expected to be completed in late 2010. The consultations will be part of a broad effort to gather a wide range of views on how the World Bank Group can help developing countries create opportunities for the poor and grow economies sustainably. Global Economic Prospects

THE PROLIFERATION OF regional trade
agreements (RTAs) is fundamentally altering
the world trade landscape. The
number of agreements in force now surpasses
200, and it has risen sixfold in just two
decades. Today more than one-third of global
trade takes place between countries that have
some form of reciprocal RTA.1 The European
Union (EU) and United States are playing a
prominent role in this proliferation (figure 1).
