The brochure, prepared by the GTZ sector project “Agricultural Trade” on behalf of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), analyses the beneficial aspects of regional approaches for economic development and food security, describes briefly the most important current African and international political efforts to strengthen regional cooperation, discusses important impeding factors to regional trade, and summarises recommendations
